Cheerful, colorful, and bringing back beautiful memories of the past—this is the spirit carried by Palm Park Hotel & Convention Surabaya when participating in the annual Festival Rujak Uleg 2025. Held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Surabaya Expo Center area, this festival is part of the series of events celebrating the 732nd Anniversary of Surabaya City (HJKS) as well as one of the flagship agendas in the national program Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2025 by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
Joining hundreds of participants and carrying the creative theme “Happiness of Nostalgia from Taman Hiburan Rakyat Surabaya,” Palm Park Hotel & Convention Surabaya brought back the legendary atmosphere of THR (Taman Hiburan Rakyat)—an entertainment icon deeply cherished by Surabaya residents during the 80s and 90s. With vibrant colors and visual elements that revive the signature ambiance of THR, this participation aims to awaken childhood memories filled with laughter and excitement.
In addition to presenting nostalgic-themed visuals, Palm Park Hotel & Convention Surabaya also served authentic Surabaya-style rujak uleg prepared with genuine flavors. The response from visitors was overwhelmingly positive, with our rujak being completely enjoyed by the crowds who filled the area around the booth.
Palm Park Hotel & Convention Surabaya’s presence at this festival also received special recognition from the organizers, being named one of the top 40 presenters out of hundreds of participants. This achievement is a proud moment, reaffirming the hotel’s commitment to supporting the preservation of traditional cuisine and promoting local culture in an enjoyable way.
